Many DGS, or dynamic geometry programs, are well known for aiding the design and construction of geometrical objects but the Archimedes Geo3D allows you to create your projects in three dimensions. This program features dragging too, and if you drag a part of a free object, the program will change the rest of your construction accordingly. You can save your own or pre-defined macros using the program's macro-menu and Archimedes is even capable of vector-calculus as well as the usual numerical computations.
Using the program's easy to navigate interface you can create 3D models using textures on parallelograms or on squares and triangles and project shadows on to your constructions. The movement of points can be traced and made visible as a locus surface or line (Loci). You can even intersect locus lines with objects. As well as shadows, with Archimedes you can add lights to your scenes with central and parallel projections. To create your animations, you can interactively construct points, circles, planes, spheres, vectors etc., and drag your completed objects in real-time. Translations, reflections, rotations and linear maps can all be defined using the program and all the usual intersections, like line and plane, are supported.
